PWN Pure Water and Nature (a water supply company in North Holland) supplies tap water to thousands of customers. With the number tap water connections increasing to 750,000, it became apparent that the existing 8 Rodelta NSM 7310 pumps, although still working well, would need to be upgraded for capacity. PWN presented Rodelta, their trusted supplier, with the challenge to fit new even more efficient and sustainable equipment inside the existing acoustic reduction housings.
THE SOLUTION
Rodelta equipment is inherently flexible and can be combined with both traditional, as well as state-of-the-art hardware. Working closely with our client, it was decided to select an NSM 8510 pump and combine it with a new energy-efficient motor (IE3 by Siemens). To future-proof the installation, the pump internals were coated with an Epimid polymer which meets KIWA standards. This special coating (set to become mandatory) eliminates particulates from passing into the water.
Our new package offered several benefits
To minimize interruption of the water supply, the Rodelta engineers upgraded one pump a week.
