High-Efficiency Pumps PWN Heemskerk
Nijhuis Water Technology has commissioned Rodelta to supply and install 18 high-efficient new pumps for the production facility Heemskerk, a project from the leading Dutch drinking water company PWN.
These pumps will contribute to an increase of approximately 10% in drinking water production capacity in North Holland. This capacity expansion is essential to continue meeting the growing demand for drinking water resulting from population growth,economic developments and climate change.
Driving Sustainable Water Production with 25 Bar Pump Technology
At the new production facility in Heemskerk, innovative production technologies are being applied, including membrane filtration. This technology enables the effective removal of substances that are difficult to eliminate, such as PFAS, ensuring that the high quality of the drinking water is maintained.
This process requires pumps capable of generating higher pressures, up to 25 bar. Rodelta provides a suitable solution with its High-Efficiency LS pumps. Thanks to diffuser (guide vane) technology, the required high pressures can be achieved while maintaining high pump efficiency.
In addition, the pumps are equipped with energy-efficient IE5 SynRM motors. These motors are perfectly matched to the characteristics of the LS pumps and provide additional efficiency. The overall result is significant energy savings and a reduction in CO₂ emissions.
With this investment, an important contribution to its sustainability objectives and to a future-proof drinking water supply.
