Confidence upfront, speed on site

Rodelta’s efficient production method for prefabricated pump chamber solutions enables the simultaneous manufacture of multiple units. This streamlined approach increases process efficiency and significantly reduces overall lead times.

Before delivery, every pump chamber is fully tested on Rodelta’s dedicated test bench. This allows any technical deviations or points of attention to be identified and resolved at an early stage, preventing unexpected delays during on-site installation. In practice, this results in minimal disruption to the surrounding environment and ensures a smoother, more predictable project execution.

This approach also delivers a range of additional key benefits. The complete unit is tested as one fully integrated system, providing a clear and reliable insight into its performance and functionality. For example, the variable frequency drive (VFD) can be fully configured and commissioned at the factory before shipment. In addition, the operation of control valves, leak tightness, and the performance of all essential components are thoroughly tested and validated in advance.

From lighting systems to the drain pit, every component is carefully inspected to ensure that no unexpected showstoppers occur during or after installation.

With Rodelta’s prefabricated pump chamber solutions, you choose certainty, speed, and durable quality.

Every pump chamber is fully tested and commissioned on Rodelta’s test bench, ensuring smooth on-site installation without unexpected delays.

Safety, standardisation and operational reliability

This approach offers even more advantages. Because each unit is consistently manufactured and fitted out to the same high-quality standard, it creates a logical and familiar working environment for operating personnel. Particular attention has been paid to safety, ease of use, and operational reliability in the overall layout.

For example, all control cabinets are strategically positioned as far away from the pumps as possible. In addition, the floor has been specifically designed to ensure that it always slopes away from electrical components such as control cabinets and VFDs. This minimises the risk of moisture exposure and operational failures.

The chambers are equipped with a climate and humidity control unit, ensuring that the installations continue to operate under optimal conditions while extending the service life of the equipment.

For maintenance and commissioning, special inlets have been integrated, allowing the pumps to be flushed before, for example, being connected to a drinking water network. The units also feature a flow meter, providing a reliable indication for remote monitoring and control.

All valves and shut-off devices are fully electrically operated, ensuring efficient and safe operational management.

The prefabricated concrete unit is constructed with double reinforcement, providing a high level of burglary resistance and structural robustness. The access and service hatches are designed with maximum security in mind (RC4). For example, the hatches used for installing and removing the pumps can only be unlocked from the inside, offering extra protection against unauthorized access.

If desired, all hatches can be made fully watertight, including the access hatch above the stairway. The stairway access hatch is also equipped with an integrated fall protection system for safe use when open. The stairway itself is designed with safety as a priority, featuring anti-slip steps and a closed back to prevent objects from falling through the steps. Every detail is aimed at providing the safest, most reliable, and user-friendly working environment possible.

Standardisation and certification as drivers of project efficiency

Using prefabricated pump chamber designs allows for optimal use of the standard design’s certification potential. Take, for example, a prefabricated pump chamber for a drinking water booster station in long pipeline stretches. In such applications, a standardized prefabricated design offers a significant additional advantage: the possibility to certify the design in advance.

By certifying a prefabricated pump chamber beforehand, individual municipalities do not need to review the fullconstruction specifications during each permit application to verify compliance with applicable laws and

regulations. This significantly shortens permitting processes and accelerates project preparation.

This standardized approach can also be extended throughout the client’s internal processes. This includes departments responsible for preparing project specifications, engineering firms that develop the design, and internal teams that verify compliance with project requirements.

Because all parties work from a proven and certified design, review processes are carried out more efficiently, consistently, and quickly.

In practice, this not only results in significantly shorter project lead times but also in a more efficient use of technically specialized personnel on the client side. Especially in times of skilled labor scarcity, this represents a major added value.

With this approach, prefabricated pump chamber solutions contribute not only to faster project delivery but also to a future-proof and efficient project organisation.
