I agreeThe pump type TAN is a single stage submerged pump (VS4). The compact TAN range are vertically mounted line shaft pumps with intermediate bearings for line shaft support. Many applications can be supported with open or enclosed line shaft configurations combined with various shaft sealing options such as V-ring, gland packing and mechanical or gas seals. standard oil lubricated bearings, executed with constant oil leveler. The TAN has a closed impeller and can be supplied with a wide variety of competitive hydraulics. Also see our pump types TAF (VS4), - TAE (VS4), for more hydraulic options.

Constructional features:
Pump casing / cover
The casing is executed as a single volute with tangential discharge.
Wear rings
The casing and cover and supplied with renewable axial wearrings.
Optional, impeller wearings can be supplied.
Impeller
The closed impeller is mounted with a key to the shaft and locked by an impeller screw. For reducing the pressure behind the impeller balancing holes are drilled. No balancing holes will be drilled by application of a suction to avoid air entrance via the pump bearing.
Bearing arrangement
– Top bearing
The bearing bracket is executed with radial and axial ball bearings.
The bearings are grease lubricated and they can be re-lubricated by a grease nipple on the bearing housing.
– Pump bearing and intermediate bearings
The pump bearing and intermediate bearings are executed as plain bearing. Lubrication method by product, grease or external fluid.
Shaft sealing
– Standard execution
Due to the design with the separate discharge pipe a shaft sealing against the pumped medium is in principle not required.
– Shaft sealing variants
An execution with several shaft sealings for gastight execution is possible and will be used in application as:
Possible options as packed gland, double lipseals or mechanical seal are available
Baseplate & discharge pipe
The baseplate is standard supplied with rectangular baseplate optionally flanged (round) baseplate available.
The discharge pipe have EN1029 PN10 flange as standard and optional ANSI16.5 150#
Strainer
Strainer is used to protect the pump against particles from the medium. The strainer baskets are constructed from perforated (stainless) steelplate (openings 5x5mm).
Extended suction pipe
Possibility for extended suction pipe construction. This results in a larger immersion suction depth and can also lead to lower purchase costs.
