Constructional features:

 Metallic Volute pumps are engineered pump with very parts / subassemblies and hence are very simple in construction. Its construction can be grouped into three sections as follows:

Embedded parts:
The different components are volute casing, bottom suction cone, cover ring and draft tube, discharge tube.

Rotating parts:
The parts are impeller, impeller shaft sleeve, coupling and thrust / journal bearing, etc.

Stationary parts:
Pump cover, thrust bearing stool, bearing housing, mechanical seal and top suction cone, etc.

 Drive:
Pumps can be offered with direct drive or with Gear Box drive.

Model Pump study:
With the consideration of the high flow and the head developed by metallic volute pump, it is not possible to conduct performance test of proto pump at test lab. Proto pump performance is guaranteed by carrying out scale down model pump testing.
